Intro to Pickleball
Pickleball is a fun and exciting sport that combines elements of Badminton, Tennis, and Table Tennis. The game is played on a court that is almost half in size to a Tennis court, with a low net in the middle. Players use a paddle to hit a lightweight ball back and forth over the net, trying to score points by making their opponent miss the ball.
One of the great things about Pickleball is that it can be played by people of all ages and skill levels. It’s easy to learn the basics, but the game can also be very challenging and strategic for more advanced players. Plus, because the court is smaller and the ball is lighter than in other racquet sports, such as Tennis; it’s easier on the body and can be a great way to stay active and have fun with friends and family.
Whether you’re looking for a new hobby or a fun way to stay in shape, Pickleball is a great choice.
With its combination of skill, strategy, and teamwork, it’s a sport that can be enjoyed by anyone.

It’s also a great way to bring family and friends together for some healthy outdoor fun and exercise. Plus, with a custom-designed court, you can ensure that the surface, dimensions, and layout are tailored to your needs and preferences. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting, having your own Pickleball court can be a convenient, enjoyable, and cost-effective investment for you and your loved ones.
Difference between Pickleball & Tennis courts

The main difference between Pickleball and Tennis courts is their size and dimensions. A standard Pickleball court measures 6.1m wide and 13.4m long for both singles and doubles play, with a minimum area of 150-220 sqm. Tennis courts need around 400-600 sqm. Pickleball courts also have different surrounding margins and dimensions, with the recommended surrounding margin measuring 3.05m lengthways and 2.43m wide. At Picklecourts, we can customise the size of your court to fit your specific needs and available space.
Converting your existing Tennis court into a Pickleball court is a great option for individuals or communities looking to maximise their space and provide additional recreational opportunities. By painting and adding new lines on an existing Tennis court, you can have a fully functional Pickleball court. Additionally, installing an interchangeable net system allows you to easily switch between Tennis and Pickleball play. This option is particularly attractive for private individuals who have a Tennis court in their garden and are looking for a fun and versatile activity to enjoy with family and friends.
